What information do we gather? How do we use it?
When you place an order, Grannd Companies needs to know your full name, credit card number and expiration date as they appear on the credit card. We also need your billing address, shipping address, home phone number and email address. This information allows to fill your order, contact you regarding your order, and ship your order to you.
When you sign up for our mailing list/newsletter, we need only an email address, which we use to send you the information. Occasionally we will also ask your location (state and country). This demographic information helps us to locate areas that may have more interested people. Grannd Companies then uses information such as this to help plan what fairs and events to merchant at.
If we run a contest, we may ask for your name, address, phone number and email so that we can notify winners.
We use tracking software to monitor traffic patterns through the site, usage times and find dead links within the site. This helps us to develop and design better layouts of the store.
We monitor what you purchase to help us find other merchandise that might be of interest to you.
Occasionally we may ask you questions about your hobbies, interests and buying habits. These help us to predict trends and plan current and future product lines.
The future may bring the addition of a message board or mailing list to the Grannd Companies site. Users should be aware that when they voluntarily disclose personal information on the message boards or mailing lists, that information can be collected and used by others and may result in unsolicited messages from other posters or parties. Please Note: It is our belief that children should ask their parents or guardians for permission before sending any personal information about themselves or their families to us or anyone else over the internet. We also believe that it is our responsibility as parents and guardians to monitor what our children are doing and guide them, helping them to learn proper use of technology.
Protecting Customer Information When an order is placed at Grannd Companies, we use a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you enter into the form before it sends it to us. In addition, once the information is received, it is transferred off the networked computer and onto a separate machine which is not connected to a modem or network and protected against unauthorized access.
Disclosure of Personal Information Grannd Companies does not sell, trade or rent personal information about it's customers or visitors to others. We will never willfully disclose any information about any of our customers to any third party without first receiving that customer's permission.
